Energy saving tips for self-priming centrifugal pumps

1. Install the suction bottom valve at the end of the suction pipe of the self-priming sewage pump.

The suction bottom valve is actually a kind of check valve, which ensures that the water flow can only enter the suction pipe from the pool and cannot flow back. Therefore, if the suction pipe is filled with water, although the pump axis is higher than the working water level of the pool, it has a suction bottom. The function of the valve prevents the water in the suction pipe from flowing into the pool, so that the suction pipe is always filled with water, ensuring that the pump can be started automatically and quickly. The reliability of this water suction method is affected by the quality of the suction bottom valve. For example, if the water is not tightly closed or leaks, the water in the suction pipe will slowly flow into the pool. After a long time, there will be no water in the suction pipe, causing the water pump to start, manual irrigation is required.
2: The self-priming sewage pump reduces the bends, drop height and horizontal distance of the inlet pipe.
3: The self-priming sewage pump is equipped with a suction tank before the pump.
This method requires a suction tank to be installed on the suction pipe of the pump. Before the pump is running, the tank should be filled with water manually. After the operation is stopped, because the height of the suction pipe of the suction tank is higher than the height of the water in the pipe, although the water level in the pool is lower than the height of the water surface in the tank, the water in the tank will not flow back into the pool, so a certain amount of water can be stored in the suction tank, and because the height of the outlet pipe of the suction tank (that is, the suction pipe of the water pump) is lower than the height of the water surface in the pipe, Therefore, it can ensure that the suction pipe of the water pump is filled with water. When the water pump is running again, the water in the water tank is pumped away by the water pump, and negative pressure appears in the tank. The water in the pool is replenished to the suction tank under the action of atmospheric pressure. Inside the tank.
4: The self-priming sewage pump is equipped with a vacuum pump on the water pump suction line. Before the water pump starts, the vacuum pump is started first, so that the water pump suction pipe is filled with water first to ensure that the water pump starts automatically and quickly. This type of water absorption requires a complete automatic control system to ensure normal operation.
    a. Shorten the pipeline as much as possible. No need for "anti-aircraft gun" type water outlet. Because this outlet pipe increases energy consumption. At the same time, make sure that the outlet of the pump is facing the pool.
    b. Try to enlarge the diameter of the outlet pipe of the centrifugal pump.
    c. Clear the blockage in the pipeline in time. If foreign matter stays in the inlet pipe, impeller or the flow channel of the diversion shell, the water output will be reduced.
    d. Try to use coupling for direct transmission as far as possible, because direct coupling is more efficient than belt transmission. Under the premise of ensuring clean water, the filter can be removed.
    e. Carefully check the sealing parts of the water pump to prevent the water pump from air intake. If the water pump enters air, the water output will be significantly reduced.
    f. Those that can use electric motors don't need diesel or gasoline engines, and those that can use three-phase asynchronous motors don't need single-phase asynchronous motors.
